I recently picked up this blazer by BB Dakota from my hometown Glik’s location. It is one of my favorite places to shop when I am back home. I love that they carry such a range of styles and prices so that it is easy for so many different people to shop with them. They recently remolded their store as well and were able to expand their location because of it. Today I am going to show you how to style this blazer, which was a purchase from my most recent trip to visit.
Look 1: Preppy Chic with a Suede Skirt
I have had this skirt for a couple years now and love wearing it when the weather cools down. Pairing it with this blazer seemed like a no brainer for me. I went with a basic navy tee on top, tucked into the skirt to create a sleek look so that the oversized blazer doesn’t feel like too much when paired all together. I topped it off with my cognac over the knee boots. I feel like it keeps the look warm for those cooler days. I could have also done some booties or sneakers with this look as well.
Look 2: Street Style Casual with Joggers
I love how comfy and versatile these joggers are. I wore them on my recent trip to Denver to feel put together while traveling. I get so much wear out of them. I thought they would be great to create an ultra-casual, street style look with this blazer. I tossed on a black, mock neck sweater and gave it the good, old front tuck. Cream mules kept it neutral and coordinated with the hat. I put the blazer all the way on but it could also be tossed over your shoulders to really amplify that street style vibe.
Look 3: Dressy for Dinner
No matter if it is dinner with the girls or that special someone, this look is put together and perfect for dinner. This faux suede mini dress is ultra-flattering and the perfect layer underneath the blazer. Pair it with pumps to dress it up further or wear over the knee boots like I did. Grab your favorite lipstick and purse and you can head out that door.
Look 4: Monochromatic Moods
I love a good monochromatic look, but I love breaking it up with some pattern! This blazer is perfect paired over the cream jeans and tee combo. (This tee is literally the best ever! I cannot recommend it enough.) I slipped into my favorite mules and grabbed a hat to keep this look feeling neutral. I love a good hat but it has been so windy lately! This look is great for keeping it cool and neutral whether you are out and about or heading in to work.
Look 5: Badass Business Casual
This look is perfect for feeling put together, whether you are heading into the office or connecting with your team via a video call. Black jeans are a go-to for feeling put together but still keeping things casual. I love this earthy toned tee that brings out some of the color in the blazer. I finished this look off with my favorite pair of heels that are comfy enough for all day wear.
Thanks for reading along!
