One Dress, Four Seasons

I love having a versatile wardrobe, so finding a way to incorporate pieces into each season is so important to me. There are some pieces that just won't work for every season, but there are also some great pieces that are perfect for any season. This muted floral dress is one of them.

I picked up this dress at a local boutique when I was traveling to Hawai'i this summer and I consistently am wearing it. It is ultra comfortable and is super easy to layer with. It has a muted base tone and then the dainty floral pattern on it has muted colors that are great through the seasons. Blush, dusty blue, light yellow, and olive with gray accents. I love the way that it flows and moves. The delicate layers create the moveable shape that I love. I've worn it many more ways than pictured, but these are some perfect ways to style the dress through each of the seasons!

First up, fall! That's the current season that I'm dressing for, so it was super easy to find some great outfits for the fall season. I actually wore an outfit very similar to this for my boyfriends birthday in August! I layered the dress underneath a bell sleeved sweater (We the Dreamerz last fall) and knotted it at the waist to create some shape and a cropped effect to the sweater. I added a great olive hat and some taupe booties, and topped it off with my Jade necklace (gifted from my Grandma) layered with my small initial necklace.

Next season, winter. Although it is very freezing in Iowa when it comes to winter, this is a look that is perfect for earlier in the season. As it gets even colder, I would add some boot socks, a scarf and more than likely another layer! Last winter, there were several days in a row where the temperatures were below freezing, so dresses really aren't an option at that point. For this look, I paired my over the knee boots with a utility jacket! I accessorized with a mustard and cream striped headband to create a little pattern mixing, along with layering some of my favorite Larissa Loden neckalces.

Spring is next on list of seasons, and by the time that winter is over, I am so ready to break out some fun clothes rather than being so bundled up! I picked up this great lightweight sweater early into the summer season, so it has gotten so much wear! These cognac laser cut heels (old from We the Dreamerz) are a great shoe for basically any occasion or season. They are a great heel height and so easy and comfortable to walk in. I accessorized with a simple stone necklace (old from We the Dreamerz) and my small gold hoop earrings.

Lastly, summer! This is the most perfect dress for summer. I was wearing it non-stop once I got it! A rosey lace bralette is the perfect touch underneath the dress. It shows just a bit, but adds just enough detail, and I love lace with floral. Round purses are great for summer and this one is a favorite of mine! I love the leather versus the straw. I feel that I can wear it into fall easier. These great espadrille flats are so old, but so reliable! They zip up the back so they are very easy to slip in to. On a chilly night, you could toss on a cardigan or a jean jacket!

I hope these looks inspire you to style some of your favorite pieces through each of the seasons rather than storing them away.
