I can't believe that October is officially here! September really flew past! This week, I rounded up some great activities to do this fall in the Kansas City area. There are also some great ideas that you can do anywhere!
Belvoir Winery and Inn - Liberty, MO
Not too far from KC is Liberty. They have a cute town square with great food spots and amazing little boutiques. They also have a haunted winery, Belvoir Winery and Inn. They are hosting public paranormal investigations two Saturdays in October if you love all things spooky! The winery is on 170 acres so there is plenty to explore. It's also great for events and weddings.
Take a Fall Hike
Take a hike or bike on Cliff Drive. Check out the changing leaves while enjoying some time outdoors! This nearly four mile hike is well worth the views. Check out your local area for hiking spots near you!
Head to the West Bottoms on the 2nd
Love vintage and thrifting? This is the perfect place for you! Antique sales, thrifted goods, local artist, musicians and more are all happening! Can't make it this month, check back in the first weekend of November. It's a recurring event that takes place the first weekend of each month!
Tour the Haunted 1859 Jail Museum
Check out this haunt in Independence. They are open every Friday and Saturday night in October with tours at 7, 8, and 9 PM. You must purchase tickets in advanced and masks are required.
Head to your Local Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze or Apple Orchard
There are so many great choices out there. Find your local patch and head there to enjoy this great fall activity. Pick out a pumpkin to carve or paint for another great fall activity as well.
Take a Day Trip
Parkville is said to be one of the best places to catch the changing leaves. You can also check out the antique shops, architecture and walking trails. Parkville is located right on the Missouri River so there it is a great place to check out the fall scenery.
Let me know what fun fall activities you are planning to do!
